The Department of obstetrics and gynecology was founded in 1998.
From 1998-2011, the Department was headed by doctor of medical Sciences, Professor, A. T. Raisova. From 2011-2016, the Department was headed by candidate of medical Sciences, associate Professor N. N. Kobzar.
2017 at present the Department is headed candidate of medical Sciences, associate Professor Z. A. imanbaeva
Over the years, the staff of the Department has successfully trained a whole galaxy of obstetricians and gynecologists. During its existence, the Department received 16 copyright certificates and patents for inventions, published about a hundred textbooks and monographs.
Currently, the Department has a strong practical base for training highly qualified obstetricians and gynecologists.

LARGE EDUCATIONAL AND CLINICAL BASES OF THE DEPARTMENT:
City clinical hospital No. 4
CKH # 4 is one of the largest clinics in the city .it is the educational and clinical base of KRMU, KazNMU, agiuv, as well as the city and Republican medical colleges.
Since 01.01.2011, the state enterprise “City clinical hospital No. 4” has switched to the right of economic management.
The main areas of activity are traumatology, orthopedics,as well as providing highly specialized assistance to burn patients of various severity. The hospital is multi-profile and consists of departments: reception Department, intensive care unit, surgery unit, trauma center, orthosurgery and combustiology, there are also: therapeutic Department, surgical Department, gynecological Department, urological Department, neurology Department, physio Department, radiation therapy, roentgen, ultrasound
As part of the modernization and development of medicine, in may 2016, the reception Department was reorganized by introducing Emergenroom, based on the principle of patient orientation, using the method of “multidisciplinary examination”. A new information system “Avicenna” was introduced, based on the concept of “electronic hospital”, which automates the entire process from registration to discharge, which improved the quality of patient care, reduced the time spent from 25-30 to 8-10 minutes for processing medical documentation, and also made it easier to administrative control.The main indicator of any clinic is the mortality rate. Only in the last 5 years, the mortality rate has been reduced by half, especially in 2016 and is 2.1 percent. Every year, the clinic staff returns more than 16 thousand patients to a healthy life. For the period from 2015-2016, the clinic increased the provision of vsmp from 29 to 51 technologies.
The scientific center of obstetrics, gynecology and Perinatology is deployed on 147 beds for pregnant women, maternity hospitals, gynecological patients and newborns. In order to improve the quality of medical care, effective technologies have been introduced in the Republic: “Safe motherhood”, “neonatal Resuscitation”, “Nursing of premature babies”, “Emergency care and standards for obstetric bleeding, preeclampsia and eclampsia during pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period”. Every year, the Ncagip clinic provides highly specialized obstetric and gynecological care to more than 7,000 high-risk pregnant women and gynecological patients from various regions of Kazakhstan, of which more than 80% are residents of the southern region of the Republic (Almaty, Mangistau, South Kazakhstan, Kyzylorda, Zhambyl, etc.). The increased volume of assistance is related to the most severe forms of nosology. Thus, the increase in treated pregnant women with severe extragenital pathology at the stage of both decompensation and subcompensation was 1.5 – 2 times. More than 70 % of pregnant women are hospitalized with severe extragenital and obstetric pathology. Every year, up to 350 infants with extremely low and low body weight are treated in the intensive care unit. CITY PERINATAL CENTER “MATERNITY HOSPITAL No. 3” ALMATY
The largest maternity organization in the Republic of Kazakhstan to provide highly qualified obstetric-gynecological and Neonatological care to pregnant women, women in labor and maternity at high risk, as well as for the care of premature babies. The hospital’s bed capacity is 270 beds. Every year, the Center hosts 6-7 thousand births, of which 70% are premature. In 1999, the Perinatal center was among the first to be awarded the title of “child-friendly hospital”, the status was given by international experts from who / UNICEF, which was confirmed in 2002.new perinatal technologies, achievements and developments in medical science, and the “Safe motherhood”program are used in practice.

A unique clinic that provides a full range of reproductive health services: miscarriage, contraception, safe abortion, prognosis of offspring, intrauterine diagnosis of hereditary diseases and birth defects in the fetus, children’s and adolescent gynecology. There is a polyclinic and a hospital as part of the GCR. To provide this medical care, the Center has highly qualified personnel who have passed training in advanced clinics of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Israel, and Korea.

We take part in many training programs that provide for the exchange of experience with leading industry experts. Students, interns and employees of the Department conduct active research to improve the system of diagnosis, therapy and prevention of reproductive disorders.
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES.
The main goal is to prepare a specialist obstetrician-gynecologist with the required amount of knowledge, skills and practical skills for self-diagnosis, treatment, emergency, rehabilitation and preventive measures in obstetrics, Perinatology and gynecology. Knowledge of physiological and pathological changes in a woman’s condition will provide an opportunity to be able to use this knowledge to diagnose and treat possible complications, to provide assistance in urgent conditions. Training includes theoretical, clinical and independent training. Theoretical training includes in-depth study of the content of the discipline. The clinical part consists of examination and treatment of thematic patients in a hospital or polyclinic. Independent training consists in the supervision of patients, in the treatment of patients with urgent conditions in emergency departments and intensive care units, in surgical operations during extra-curricular hours, on duty in the hospital (clinic), participation in hospital and pathoanatomic conferences, participation in consultations, consultations of severe patients.
Reducing maternal and infant mortality is the main activity of the Department since its Foundation. Our students take part in the study and development of methods for improving human reproductive health and improving the quality of medical services.

She is an independent accredited expert in obstetrics and gynecology. Awarded the departmental medal of the Ministry of health “Kazakstan respublikasy Densaulyk satou SN SDG”. Has more than 30 publications, is a co-author of the textbook “Gynecology” in the Kazakh language, year of publication 2013, as well as 2 manuals.
